 ABOUT THE ARTIST :

I was raised in Namibia and came to live in South Africa at a young age as I was orphaned.

Since I was very young I started drawing and initially took a great interest in pop art. In 2007 I finally took the plunge and started painting full time.  I am entirely self taught and my favourite medium is acrylic.

 All my surroundings have had an influence on my art. I am passionate about wildlife and our beautiful natural surroundings and people.

I currently live on the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal and find the beach a great inspiration.

I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy painting it.

ABOUT TE ARTIST :

My wife started painting and it looked like fun. I first painted a few paint by numbers with acrylic paint enjoyed it immensely. We both took the same course in Portrait painting using oil paint and then I also started going to art classes fortnightly. I enjoy painting with oils and also with a fair amount of detail. ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a self taught artist currently residing in St Helena Bay South Africa. I have only been painting a few years now as I only discovered very late in life that I have an aptitude and a passion for painting. I don't have a particular style of painting as I do almost any sort of painting from seascapes, wildlife, landscapes, etc.I started out in Acrylics but now only paint with oils.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hannelie Zuithoff Kimberley South Africa I started at a very late stage of my life to paint. I was admitted to a Psychiatric Hospital for treatment of Depression. Part of the treatment was creative activities. I learned to do fabric Waterpainting and really enjoyed it a lot. When I was discharged and back at home I just carried on with fabric painting. A friend of mine invited me to Art Classes every second Saturday afternoon. I then started to paint with Acrylic paint on fabric. During a five day course in Portrait Painting by Wiets van Rensburg I started to work on canvasses with Oil Paint. I do prefer to use oil paint on canvases and enjoy doing Landscapes. Painting has become much more than therapy to me. It has become a lifestyle.

My name is Elien Venter, 49 years old. I grew up in the bushveld Limpopo district of South Africa. ---a bron an bread farmgirl.. I started drawing as a young girl en then experimented with acryl since 2006. I draw feely from what ever comes to mind , specially landscapes. I just love painting animals and houses in the wild. everything is self taught and i had no formal tuition. As you can see i use very colorful colors cause it just makes me forget my surroundings and calms me down. .

Vandaar af geen stop. Meestal van my werke is uit my kop! Veral die landskappe. Baie lief vir die natuur,diere en huisies te skilder. Ek het myself geleer en geen kuns ondering gehad nie. Ek is versot op my bold and colourful  kleure. Art laat my rustig raak en ek vergeet van die wereld om my.

My naam is Anri. Ek is in 1950 in Vryburg gebore en het groot geword in die Molopo naby n klein plekkie met die naam, Vorstershoop. Die son, wind,   sand en stilte was my geesgenote. Daar het ek my groot liefde vir die natuur ontwikkel. Ek het geen kunsopleiding ontvang nie. Ek teken wat ek voel en dink en die skilderdoek is die resultate.

 ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marina Stander, born in Zimbabwe (then Southern Rhodesia) in 1954, grew up mostly in Vereeniging in the Vaal Triangle in Gauteng, South Africa. She studied at the University of Pretoria and currently lives in a rural town, Piet Retief, in Mpumalanga, South Africa. 

She is inspired by things that 'speak' to her, something that depicts emotion in some or other way: music, children, hands (she is a music teacher), friends, animals (especially cats) nature and beautiful photographs. She can't get enough of all the beautiful things God has created.

She has always liked creating something, but in the past this was restricted to various small crafts, music and sewing. The urge to paint has lain dormant inside her for many years as she did not want to spend too much time and money on something that she could not share with her totally blind husband. He encouraged
​her to persue this passion, though. There are quite a few artists among her relatives, but she only started art as a hobby after retiring early as a teacher. She took lessons from a local well qualified artist and friend, Mrs Trienkie Bennie, from 2007 to 2010 and has done various online courses with watercolour artist Suset Maakal.  

Marina has tried out many mediums, but enjoys watercolours most, although she works in pastels, charcoal, oils and ink as well. She simply loves what she does. Every time she sells a painting, she feels happy but also sad at losing something dear to her. Artist:  Susan Scheepers            

Born on 16 Desember 1952 in Lichtenburg, North West.

Schools: Lichtenburg Primary School and Lichtenburg Secondary  School.

I studied education at the Pretoria College of Education.

I was a teacher for 17 years at Dennesig Primary school in             Middelburg,  Mpumalanga

We stayed  in Middelburg for 33 years and moved to Pretoria in      July 2016.

 I started painting in 2010 with Gail Henry from Gail’s art studio    in Middelburg and currently I am at Thea Burger's art classes

I have attended workshops of Eugene Hurter, Richard Renee and   Ruth Walter.

My favourite medium is oilpaint and I love bright colours. I enjoy  painting antique doors and flowers.

I believe people can see my passion in my paintings.   I am so thankful for the talent God gave me.
