ABOUT THE ARTISTS :

These two brothers have only been doing Art for 1 month and already showing the signs to become Master Artists in the future. The young brother is only 7 years old, but is showing some great talent. The elder brother is very precise and extremely talented. Here they are showing their first oil paintings and one can already see where their art is going to lead them one day. I see a very bright future for both of them in the years to come.

 THE ARTIST

I was born in Klerksdorp in South Africa on the 19th February 1979. I grew up in a loving, supportive and art inspired home in Klerksdorp and lived here my whole life since now. I studied Personal Assistant Secretarial work after metric and worked for many years. I have a loving family with three children. I work predominantly in oils as a medium and I do versatile paintings like landscapes, seascapes, flowers, animals, portraits or anything that I feel inspire me to paint. I do paintings on order too. I love my work as a painter! My paintings "speak" for themselves as it may be a part of a memory, story or a special moment that I want to lay down on canvas and it is almost like it "lives forever" through generations of time. Just look for example at Leonardo da Vinci's timeless Mona Lisa or Vincent van Gogh's Irises!! That is why I love to work in oils because it can persevere people and its special moments you can capture for generations to come. Oil paint is the best quality medium you can get! I am grateful to have inherited this talent to be able to give something back to my God and the world to enjoy.

I needed a hobby, bought acrlic paint at a show in Kimberley. I enjoyed it so much that i started reading up and using utube to learn more. I am mostly self taught. Started to paint with material paint in 2006. joined a art class in acrylics. enjoyed so much that i started to give class too. started painting in oils about 3 years ago. I also do pencil sketches. I give oil classes twice a month.

I was raised in Namibia and came to live in South Africa at a young age as I was orphaned.

Since I was very young I started drawing and initially took a great interest in pop art. In 2007 I finally took the plunge and started painting full time.  I am entirely self taught and my favourite medium is acrylic.

 All my surroundings have had an influence on my art. I am passionate about wildlife and our beautiful natural surroundings and people.

I currently live on the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal and find the beach a great inspiration.

I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy painting it.

My wife started painting and it looked like fun. I first painted a few paint by numbers with acrylic paint enjoyed it immensely. We both took the same course in Portrait painting using oil paint and then I also started going to art classes fortnightly. I enjoy painting with oils and also with a fair amount of detail. ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a self taught artist currently residing in St Helena Bay South Africa. I have only been painting a few years now as I only discovered very late in life that I have an aptitude and a passion for painting. I don't have a particular style of painting as I do almost any sort of painting from seascapes, wildlife, landscapes, etc.I started out in Acrylics but now only paint with oils.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hannelie Zuithoff Kimberley South Africa I started at a very late stage of my life to paint. I was admitted to a Psychiatric Hospital for treatment of Depression. Part of the treatment was creative activities. I learned to do fabric Waterpainting and really enjoyed it a lot. When I was discharged and back at home I just carried on with fabric painting. A friend of mine invited me to Art Classes every second Saturday afternoon. I then started to paint with Acrylic paint on fabric. During a five day course in Portrait Painting by Wiets van Rensburg I started to work on canvasses with Oil Paint. I do prefer to use oil paint on canvases and enjoy doing Landscapes. Painting has become much more than therapy to me. It has become a lifestyle.

My name is Elien Venter, 49 years old. I grew up in the bushveld Limpopo district of South Africa. ---a bron an bread farmgirl.. I started drawing as a young girl en then experimented with acryl since 2006. I draw feely from what ever comes to mind , specially landscapes. I just love painting animals and houses in the wild. everything is self taught and i had no formal tuition. As you can see i use very colorful colors cause it just makes me forget my surroundings and calms me down. .

My naam is Anri. Ek is in 1950 in Vryburg gebore en het groot geword in die Molopo naby n klein plekkie met die naam, Vorstershoop. Die son, wind,   sand en stilte was my geesgenote. Daar het ek my groot liefde vir die natuur ontwikkel. Ek het geen kunsopleiding ontvang nie. Ek teken wat ek voel en dink en die skilderdoek is die resultate.
